Nora Brown

March 5, 2022
Livestream Event/Harold Prince Theatre
PLA Presents

A young banjo prodigy, Nora Brown hails from Brooklyn but you’d never know it when she plays and sings her captivating renditions of old-time traditional music from Kentucky and Tennessee. These unaccompanied ballads from Appalachia and beyond weave storytelling and song, offering a reverent nod to the deeply rooted history of the genre while also infusing it with a new energy. For this livestream performance, this award-winning folk artist makes her Philadelphia debut offering some of the haunting and profound sounds from her 2021 album, Sidetrack My Engine.

This hybrid event is designed for the virtual stage while also offering a unique behind-the-scenes experience for those in the theatre. Tickets may be purchased for either the in-person event or at-home livestream access. Or, enjoy the show in-person and get virtual access for only $35 – simply add both to your cart!
