A young banjo prodigy, Nora Brown hails from Brooklyn but you’d never know it when she plays and sings her captivating renditions of old-time traditional music from Kentucky and Tennessee. These unaccompanied ballads from Appalachia and beyond weave storytelling and song, offering a reverent nod to the deeply rooted history of the genre while also infusing it with a new energy.
