Meg Bragle (Penn) and the
2023-24 fellows of the Herbert D. Katz Center of Advanced Judaic Studies discuss the life, music and contexts of Salamone Rossi, a Jewish composer working in Italy at the same time as Claudio Monteverdi. The roundtable is moderated by Penn faculty member and musicologist
Mauro Calcagno and co-organized by Penn Live Arts, the Katz Center and Penn's Department of Music. A selection of related materials will be on display in the Lea Library before and after the roundtable.
