American Idiot follows the story of Johnny and his two best friends, Will and Tunny, as they try to find meaning in a post-9/11 world. Tunny and Johnny head to the city to seek a new life while Will is stuck at home dealing with newfound familial responsibilities. Once in the city, Tunny decides to join the armed forces while Johnny is consumed by newfound addictions. Taking the songs and story from Green Day’s 2005 smash hit album, American Idiot is a show you don’t want to miss.
