Since the release of her debut album Another Mind in 2003, Hiromi Uehara has electrified audiences and critics in both hemispheres with a creative energy that defies the conventional parameters of jazz and pushes musicianship and composition to unprecedented levels of complexity and sophistication. Having performed with jazz greats including Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke, Hiromi has been heralded as one of the brightest new lights on today’s piano jazz landscape. “A forceful presence on any stage” (New York Times), Hiromi will captivate you with her infectious energy as she performs tunes from her latest album, Place To Be—a musical travel journal of the many places around the world that have left an indelible impression on her creative sensibilities.
