Please note, the time has changed to 2 PM for the October 6 matinee performance.
In the Philadelphia premiere of She’s Auspicious, celebrated Bharata Natyam dancer Mythili Prakash leads an all-female cast of performers and musicians in a new, full-length work that challenges femininity and Prakash’s own conflicting identities of woman, mother and classical Indian dancer. Making her Penn Live Arts debut, “Prakash is a bold and original artistic force. She is of the current generation, churning up work informed by open-minded curiosity and reflection, risk-taking, as well as seasoned artistry—always exuding fierce commitment to her art and culture.” (Fjord Review)
