What happens when a single person stands up to resist oppression? Based on the ancient Greek tragedy of Antigone, the story of a daughter in a powerful family tries to bury her brother’s corpse against the dictates of her uncle Creon. The Penn Theatre Arts Program production explores Antigone’s journey as she takes a stand against oppression through a simple but radical act. Set in a not-so-distant Riot Grrrl future, join us as we consider resistance, oppression, the tragedy and divisiveness of war, and the power of finding your voice.

Please note, this performance includes stage violence.
