On Thursday, March 22, the infectious sights and sounds of DanceBrazil will be returning to Philadelphia for four shows at Penns Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
DanceBrazil has been captivating audiences with their dazzling style of Afro-Brazilian music and dance for more than 30 years. Founded and choreographed by Jelon Vieira, a 2008 National Heritage Fellow with the National Endowment for the Arts, DanceBrazil is internationally recognized for their acrobatics, athleticism and generally awe-inducing moves.
At the March 22 show, the company will perform its world premiere of Imfazwe and the Philadelphia premiere of Batuke, two of their newest, heart-pounding arrangements.
And on Friday, March 23, there will be complimentary treats prior to the show provided Picanha Brazilian Grill, and a post-show Q & A with the company and musicians.
Tickets for all four shows are available online.
