This season brings the 40 year anniversary of the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on the Penn campus, and there’s a chance for every type of creative spirit to celebrate their favorite Annenberg memories in whatever style they love best.

This month grooves by with the jazz saxophonist/pianist duo of Joshua Redman and Brad Mehldau on October 14, and later the performances of the Omar Sosa Afreecanos Quartet and Jerry Gonzalez and the Fort Apache Band on October 28.

On November 5, actress and dancer Shantala Shivalingappa entices audiences into the world of Kuchipudi, a classical Indian dance form. Enter the bleak winter months with the dark humor of Samuel Beckett’s Endgame, presented by Gate Theatre Dublin on November 8.

Then, liven things up just in time for the holiday season with An Nollaig in Éirinn (Christmas in Ireland), performed by Irish ensemble Danú. After catching each of the performances this season, be sure to stick around after the show to share a toast to the Annenberg anniversary, over a family-friendly glass of sparkling cider.

The Annenberg Center has brought some of the world’s greatest and most critically acclaimed musicians, dance troupes and theatre companies to millions of Philadelphians.

Tickets (including $10 student rush tickets!) to all shows are available online.
