We are pleased to offer funding awards to Penn students for summer internships in the arts, culture and entertainment fields. This summer funding support is intended to enable recipients to take advantage of an internship by helping to cover essential moving and living expenses. Through these funds, we hope to help facilitate professional and learning opportunities that connect students’ experiences on campus to those in their chosen industries.
Funding awards are open to any rising second, third or fourth-year Penn student who has already secured an internship offer from an employer for summer 2023. Funding is available regardless of financial aid status. However, to help us reach the most students and maintain an equitable program, we ask recipients let us know as soon as possible if they secure summer funding support from another program on campus.
Please submit a statement of up to 500 words explaining how a funding award would assist you in taking an internship opportunity in the arts, culture and entertainment fields. Your full name, email address, mailing address and phone number must be in the header of your document. The statement should include information about the position such as the employer’s name, location and any details you have about the nature of the role and its connection to your career goals. If taking this opportunity would require you to give up other paid employment, please include this information in your statement as well. Additionally, provide a brief budget (.xls, .doc or .docx) detailing the living expenses you expect to incur. » See example budget » Submit an application
If you have questions about the application process, seeking an internship, preparing your budget or anything else, please reach out to Leah Falk, our Director of Education & Engagement, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
